(Updated 08/20/2022)
We are thankful for the opportunity to host Everfree Northwest 2022 as an in-person event, August 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
The safety of all of our guests and attendees is our top priority. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary that we adhere to all local, state, and federal health and safety mandates in order to host our event.
At this time, our policies regarding COVID-19 are as follows:
- Well-fitting masks/face coverings are required to be worn by all attendees over the age of six years in all convention-controlled spaces within the hotel. This policy applies to everyone, regardless of vaccination status. Masks must cover both the nose and mouth and may only be removed (for a reasonable amount of time) while eating/drinking or while participating onstage during a panel event. Face shields alone do not meet the mask requirement.
- All attendees aged twelve and above must provide either proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a recent negative COVID-19 viral test result prior to receiving their badge.
- “Full vaccination” means that one has completed the full initial dosing schedule for the type of vaccine received (one dose of Johnson & Johnson, two doses of Pfizer or Moderna, etc.). Booster doses are encouraged but not required at this time.
- Vaccine documentation requirements:
- Documentation may be physical (paper) or digital
- Documentation must display the attendee’s name as well as the date and type of each vaccine dose administered
- Documentation must originate from relevant health authorities where the vaccine was received
- Negative viral test results must be no older than 72 hours at time of badge pickup and must include the attendee’s name as well as the date of the test. This 72-hour window begins at the time the test is administered, not at the time the results are received.
- Types of test results accepted:
- Types of test results not accepted:
- Any tests which do not include the attendee’s name and the date of the test
- Antibody-only tests
In addition to the above measures, the following practices will also be in place:
- Increased hand sanitizer stations
- Sanitization of surfaces in high-touch areas
- Sanitization of microphones and other equipment between panels
- Anything else mandated by the hotel or by federal, state, or local authorities
Do not attend Everfree Northwest 2022 if you experience any symptoms which may be indicative of COVID-19 within a span of two weeks prior to the event.
By purchasing a badge, all attendees acknowledge that there is an inherent risk of contracting COVID-19 or other illnesses while attending any large event, including Everfree Northwest 2022. Attend at your own risk.
All con policies are subject to change as we adapt to the evolving nature of the pandemic. This page will be updated whenever any changes are made.
Stay healthy! We wish all of you the best, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Seattle in August.
See you soon!
